Oh The Horror, Purgatory

Night smelled the blood as soon as she entered the room and smiled. She could finally quench her thirst. However the door behind them sealed shut and she sighed. Yay that meant more enemies to face. This seemed to be the general sign of the stronger enemies. Out of curiosity she decided to test something. She turned on her echo communicator and started to see if she could pull up files still. She already knew she could not communicate to the outside, the signal bar on the holo screen showed a big red X. However she smiled as she could still look through previously saved files. She knew what she would do on there next rest period. She would navigate the weird park and saw the blood chalice and smiled. However she could also sense an enemy nearby. She glanced around at the dolls and broken toys. She would wait to claim the blood later as she sat down on the swing. So we have an enemy that is hiding. However judging from the power it is no more than a mere mage. The monster lurking is even weaker than you Sakrol. So I believe you will be able to deal with it when it decides to make its move. She would start rocking gently in the swing as she waited for the enemies move.

Stats:

As both of them entered the new room, the door they had come in closed and magic chains appeared on it. Well they probably weren't going to go back either so it didn't matter. The room was an interesting one, it was a park with swings and other stuff alike it but there were also broken  dolls here and there. Such a creepy place as Sakrol looked around him while following Night until they got to the center of the room and Night stopped. Sakrol looked at the chalice that was filled with blood, it was overflowing actually but the blood that flowed over simply disappeared. He didn't expect to find something like that in a place like this, Night sure seemed happy about it at least. Night walked over to a swing and sat down on it, she then spoke telling Sakrol that there was an enemy in hiding. According to Night the enemy was weaker than Sakrol so he should be able to take care of this on his own, Sakrol answered to Night. Okay got it, I guess it will try a surprise attack... Sakrol then started to slowly walk around, he was staying alert for the possible surprise attack that this enemy might do. But where might it be hiding in all of this?

Stats:

Night watched as Sakrol started looking for the enemy that was hiding. She yawned a bit and continued to rock herself. She figured leaving this to Sakrol would be fun to watch, give him some experience he needed, and let her save in stamina. Meanwhile as Sakrol searched he would step one one of the dolls. It had red hair and wore overalls on it that read Good Guy. The doll like many seemed dirty and like a few of the others had a knife in hand. As Sakrol stepped on it it would speak saying. High I am Chucky, wanna play? Night heard this and opened an eye half way. She had to wonder if Sakrol would realize that doll was the enemy.

Stats:

As Sakrol continued to search the enemy, he didn't pay attention where he was setting down his foot. He stepped on one of the dolls in the room, he looked down as the doll spoke telling Sakrol its name and asked if he wanted to play. Sakrol thought to himself if all the dolls in this place were that creepy, talking creepy looking dolls. The doll was a bit ominous and Sakrol didn't like it, so he proceeded to kick the doll to make it fly away. After that he would continue searching for the enemy that was lurking in this room, either the enemy was cautious or being a total coward since it hadn't yet revealed itself by trying to attack. Fighting against sneaky opponents wasn't fun at all, it was just straight up annoying to him.

Stats:

Night watched as Sakrol kicked the doll and the FOE away from him. Night would note that at some point he would need to learn how to sense things. As he just dismissed what was the enemy with a mere glance and kick. As Sakrol had made his way well past Chucky the doll stood up and ran off hiding still. He let out a howl of laughter as he did and cried out some words in a strange language. He had cast a spell. All of the dolls in the room rose up floating and laughing like the Joker. They all looked at Sakrol and Night all of them then said the same line at the same time. Hi I'm Chucky Want to play. They all said and then flew at Night and Sakrol with knifes in hand. Night just looked at them all uninpressed. The spell was a soul based spell. Sort of like a puppet master. Basically each of these dolls were now under the foes control. As they charged at Night she yawned and used dark tendril. Twelve tendrils of darkness rose up and would surround her like the arms of an octopus. They would bat away the dolls that flew at her with ease. She hoped now though at least Sakrol would be able to find the enemy since every doll that was now flying had said the same thing as the enemy had.

Stats:

Sakrol continued his search, but then he heard laughter and some unusual words. Sakrol turned around wondering where did the sounds come from, at that moment the other dolls started to float in the air and laugh. The dolls were staring at him, and said the exact line that the doll that Sakrol had kicked away earlier. Was the earlier doll just a distraction or the enemy? Sakrol was unsure but he couldn't see it in the floating doll group, so was it one of those weird kind of enemies? There was only one way to find out, find the doll and destroy it. It should stop the other dolls as well, a small gamble if you like. The dolls started their attack, Sakrol started running one way and broke some of the dolls in his way with his fists to get out of the siege. He then started looking for the doll that was commanding all the others, Sakrol noticed the doll hiding behind the slide in the room. Sakrol immediately charged towards the little midget and commenced his attack by kicking the doll again but with more force than last time. The doll would fly again and when it was falling back down Sakrol moved closer to hit it with his fist while it was on air, hopefully this was enough to destroy the damn thing.

Stats:

Night watched as she continued to flick dolls away like gnats. Sakrol charge through the siege however he would still get a good few cuts from the ones holding knifes. However Night watched very confused wondering why he was heading towards the slide. The doll he kicked at, as soon as he did it exploded as it was really a bomb. An alchemist spell. Night would wince as Chucky stood at the top. he laughed again. My my arent we an easy one to fool. I mean really you fell for one of the oldest gags in the book kid. He then held out his left hand and fired a orb of soul magic at Sakrol. Dolls would also go flying along with the spell glowing. Night sighed as she was still easily blocking the dolls. She wondered if she should lend a hand? Sakrol be careful the dolls he is sending with that spell will explode, it is a yokai overcharge affect. She said. Chucky looked at her glaring. Now why dont you be a good girl and shut up and wait for your turn to play! Chucky shouted as he brandished his knife. Nyx chuckled darkly. Oh you sad pathetic little toy. Be glad Sakrol is the one you play with. I would end you in a way that would have you screaming. She said with a smile.

Stats:

As Sakrol landed his kick on the doll to launch it in to the air the doll blew up instead, well that was surprising. What the...!? Sakrol wasn't expecting that, was that just a decoy to distract him? Sakrol's attention was then directed to the top of the slide as he heard that laughter again. The doll he was after was on top of the slide mocking him, it then attacked by forming an orb on its hand and it fired it towards Sakrol. The little army of dolls after him also flew towards Sakrol, an all out attack. Sakrol then turned his head to look at Night as she spoke giving Sakrol a warning what was going on. With this Sakrol moved out of the way as fast as he could, he then spoke sounding a bit infuriated. I'd like to see you try laughing at me again when you are in pieces you little midget! Sakrol then attempted to jump on top of the slide and crush the damn doll under his feet.

Stats:

As soon as Sakrol jumped to the top of the slide and tried to crush Chucky he would feel a knife go right through his foot. Sakrol would also find Chuky was not really one you could crush. he was tougher than he looked. Also a clawed hand of soul magic would shoot up and slash at Sakrols face. Night would also lower her spell as she watched as the remaining dolls converged on Sakrol all bearing an overcharge affect. They were flying at full speed towards him. Chuky apparently had the thought of if he was going to die so would Sakrol.

Sakrol tried to land his foot on top of the evil living doll in order to crush it but apparently his stomp attack was halted when the doll stabbed its knife through his foot, how unpleasant. This toy sure didn't want to give up, it even initiated an attack during this time. A clawed hand made of magic appeared and it was going to slash at Sakrol's face, Sakrol moved his face out of the way but it did hit his cheek leaving bleeding claw marks. The floating dolls all started acting a bit weird, all of them including the ones that were attacking Night were now flying towards Sakrol with great speed. It would seem that the enemy wanted to wrap this up, Sakrol pulled his foot off the knife and tried to dodge the attack by jumping off the slide in a diving manner.

Stats:

Night was growing bored as Sakrol was underestimating the enemy because of it's physical appearance. This thing called Chucky had good Yokai, and better perception than Sakrol. He was slower but to an extent. The advantage he had though over sakrol was he could percieve his own Speed and even Sakrols to an extent. This gave him reaction time that Sakrol lacked. Evidence of this would be as Sakrol dived off the slide? Night had to wonder why he dived through ten feet of air? The Dolls reacted swiftly by changing the angle they flew at still aimed at Sakrol. Night sighed and would give him some cover. She threw up her Shield projection around him. It would block the dolls and there explosions. She wondered if Sakrol realized how much stamina he would burn at least not using a basic spell against this enemy. Chucky growled in anger and looked at Night. That is it you DIE! he said as soul magic cloaked his knife. He swung and sent arcs of soul magic at Night. She sighed as if bored. She dodged them with ease barely trying. You know Sakrol I believe you once lectured me about not taking a fight seriously? She questioned maybe seeing if that would light a fire under his but.

Stats:

Sakrol tried to dodge the flying dolls but as he landed on the ground the dolls changed their course, they were still coming towards him. As the dolls were coming closer Sakrol was getting ready for the worst but Night gave her assistance by projecting a shield so the dolls wouldn't hit him and it also protected him from the explosions. Sakrol let out a sigh of relief, that could have ended badly. The evil doll sure didn't like it, it got angry at Night and attacked her. Sakrol stood up as the doll was busy attacking Night in vain. Night spoke to Sakrol however, it sounded like she was taunting him. Sakrol grunted at that, he had to step up his game. Sakrol decided to use Soul magic as well and he cast Damned Souls to turn the foes amount of Yokai against itself, a green aura would be seen as he cast it.

Stats:

Night watched as the spell hit chucky and he fell to his knees in pain. However he was not going down that easily. He used a potion. Night started adding it all up after that. He is an alchemist. It is why he has used magic through items thus far. She said. Chucky glared at her and then at Sakrol. He went down the slide and ran. As he ran he dropped a smoke bomb to cover his tracks. The bomb was infused with his yokai and any caught in the smoke bomb would have there perception reduced by 10%. Chucky would hide once more and he started drawing up a magic circle. Night knew were he was but she wanted to see just how Sakrol was going to react to all of this?

stats:

Sakrol's spell hit the damn doll and it seemed to hurt it, but unfortunately it healed by drinking a potion. It didn't need a genius to figure out that the doll was an Alchemist after that, Night got the idea too and said how it explains how the doll used magic through items. The doll then went down the slide and started to run away, throwing a smoke bomb to help his escape. Well Sakrol wasn't going to let little midget do its stuff or get away. I'll rip your head off midget, get ready to die! He then went after it but finding it in the smoke might take some time for him. So for now, since he didn't know where it was he walked around trying to find it. Where is that little schemer...?

Stats:

Chucky finished the magic circle. It was a powerful soul spell and he activated it. It drew all of the magic he had slowly spread out over the room since before the two had even entered. He used this to heal himself to full. he then started focusing his power as the half phantom form change activated. His hair started to float up on end glowing, his eyes turned pure white as his whole body seemed to glow. Playtimes over! He would look right at Sakrol laughing mad. He held out his left hand and used Dammned souls as well. However now as he cast it a second one followed it as well. He laughed like a maniac. Night just sighed at the situation. Form change would make it harder to beat. The fight was going from interesting to boring fast. She used blink and appeared behind Chuky. She had in her hands a scythe of darkness coated in flames of the enchantment. She swung at a speed faster than Chucky could really see or understand. The scythe spun easily and she took a stance. However with the hit she had fired Omega singularity with her scythe swing as well and an orb of darkness surrounded the doll. Chucky's screams could be heard as gravity was now crushing him. However she was not ending it there though her power was likely going to kill him with the one spell alone. However she wanted to overkill him and get to the fresh source of blood in the room. Game over. She said and used Wishing Star. Twelve stars would form around Night. The power of this spell was both mana and strength based. She aimed her left hand at the orb and the flew and rained down upon it in a brilliant explosion of light. When both spells ended there was nothing but a stain left. Night dismissed her scythe and gave a yawn. Time to collect some blood.

Stats:

Sakrol looked what was happening, the doll healed up using a magic circle he had just drawn and then the doll went all Form change on them. The doll looked at Sakrol and for his surprise the doll used Damned Souls on him, worse still it came two times. Sakrol's yokai wasn't that strong but getting hit by Damned Souls two times made it so that he got hurt with his entire yokai, it wasn't pleasant. Sakrol fell on one knee as the attack hurt quite a lot, he really hated that doll now. But then Night teleported behind the doll and attacked the doll with her magic scythe and a few spells. It would seem Night was wrapping this fight up now since Sakrol failed to deliver, he could only watch the show now. Night destroyed the doll completely, there was nothing left of the damn toy. Sakrol sighted since it would seem he was useless against god damn toy, he punched the floor in frustration of this. Night didn't even brake a sweat while destroying it, she just yawned afterwards and went to get her “prize”. Sakrol sat down on the ground to wait for Night to do her thing, in the mean time Sakrol wondered if there was something wrong with his approach in these situations.

Night picked up the chalice and drank the blood heartily. She could feel the affects instantly as she felt much of her spent stamina return. The curse of vampirism was resting only returned so much of her spent energy. However blood could always fully restore her. After she drank her fill she would pull out around five vials from her pocket. She would dip them into the blood filling each one up. This would make her survivabilty in the purgatory much more likely. She pulled out a sixth deciding that one more would be better. After they were filled and she put them away. She then sat down and looked at Sakrol. You have to little combat experience. You are rash and severly judgemental of your enemies. You seem to instantly think you are better and can beat anyone. I would have to guess you at some point in your life won a major fight in your eyes rather easily. You are use to being on top and you are unaware just how much you truly lack. it is true you have power but it has all gone to your head. I told you back when I slayed leatherface that yes it was weaker than I, but I would have used to much stamina. What I did not say was that it also opened myself to to much unneeded risk. By treating even a weaker opponent to lightly you make yourself open to harm. I would have to guess as soon as I said that Chucky was weaker than you you assumed instantly it would be a cake walk. Instead it was a knife walk. You need to start learning better how to measure your opponent. You are heavily lacking in being able to perceive your opponents powers and ability and lack over all in the judgement department of combat. This will one day lead to your death. A good example would probably be how well you underestimated The Keeper. if you had been on your own you would be dead. She said ending her lecture.

Sakrol noticed that Night sat down too and she looked at him, Night then started to speak. She dared to start by saying how too little combat experience he has, what does she know about that anyway? Sakrol stayed quiet the whole lecture however, he didn't want to anger Night again. Night sure knew how to go with her talking, hitting the nails on point most of the time. Sakrol didn't like this one bit but he listened, since it would seem she knew what she was talking about. When Night was done, Sakrol would speak. You sure seem to know a lot about me already, by just analyzing the way I act... Sakrol felt uncomfortable because of that but maybe he should take heed of Night's words? Well, Sakrol looked at Night and continued to speak. So... What should I do then...? He was a bit embarrassed for asking advice from Night.

Night noticed Sakrol reactions, she noticed how he worded her reaction. She shrugged. I have lived well over a good hundreds of years. I was raised by my grandfather. He was a powerful warrior and war mage. I took after him in many ways. He was a master tactician and he trained me in tactics. Part of being a tactician is observation. You must be able to assess your friends and your foes alike. That way you can plan out how cases of combat and even wars will flow. I became rather adept at reading that flow. Take the doll we just fought. I could assess his power with my eye of the mind. However you cant assess skill with it. However how someone uses that power, how they fight that is the key. Assessing power is the first step, assessing skill is another. That doll was an expert in combat but rash with short temper. He lacked skill in magic over all hence his simplistic spells. However his overall skill made up his lack in that by using other dolls to outnumber and manuever you. He willing healed himself but lost his temper when I interfered. This says he is use to taking his prey alone, and he is use to using whatever means to kill them. While you have power you lack combat experience, you lack the ability to assess your enemies. This leads to you underestimating them. You assume that your foes will naturally be weaker and treat them lightly. You need to open your mind and realize you are not on top and far from it. become more flexible in how you fight. be willing to try new strategies and not just assume you will win. You must be prepared to lose and even die. She said. Then from there you start learning from your opponents. Study how they fight and take something from every fight. Every enemy can teach you something as long as you open your mind. Then you build from those experiences. She said with a shrug. It was the best she could do. I would suggest you learn Eye of the mind at some point, it will help greatly.

Night then began to speak, she started with some history first regarding what she had learned from her grandfather. She talked about many things, like the enemy they just fought. She told what she had analyzed about its behavior and other things, things that might help in battle. Night told a lot of stuff so Sakrol wasn't quite able to take everything in at once. Well, after Night was done Sakrol spoke. So pretty much analyze your enemy, learn from their behavior and take them down accordingly? But being prepared to die...? Sorry but I won't accept that, I don't want to die... Ever, understood? No matter what it takes I will make sure I will never have to be afraid of anyone, I will make sure that no one can kill me... Sakrol then stood up and stretched a little, he was ready to continue.

Night shook her head as he misunderstood the last part. There is always someone stronger. If I wanted to I could kill you here and now. What I mean by be prepared to die is get in that mindset. Always be willing to fight for your life. However There are always things that will be out of your hands. Fear it if you want. She said and stood up. She would go forth and choose a door and opened it. It was time to move on.

Sakrol followed Night into the next room when she started to continue after their little chat. The room they went in looked a mansions foyer but with blood slowly going down on the walls, disgusting as usual. The door behind them was shut by barbed wire, it didn't take long for Sakrol to realize what was in the room. He looked as there were nine safes around the room and that the demon known as the “Keeper” was standing in front of the only exit. So they meet again, but what they should do now? Sakrol looked at Night wondering if she had a plan.

Night examined the room and was not to surprised by the enemy that awaited them. The safes the yokai Signature it was all the same. This damn demon sure was persistent. She was going to tear the thing apart this time, no holds bar. She activated Blood destruction. A high level phantasm buff. It forced yokai through the blood causing all of ones veins tog low red, and the whites of ones eyes to turn black. Sakrol would see all of this in Night as she activated the spell. She projected gun blades of void and chaos and cast Al'astor. Thirteen blades of void and darkness appeard. All her weapons became coated in pink flames of Enchantment. The keeper banged it's hammer against it's head making a loud noise. it then jumped through the banister charging straight at the two. It's hammer was cloaked in darkness but Night would react accordingly. All thirteen Al'astor blades pointed at the Keeper. Five of them blocked the hammer strike in mid air while the other eight would fire right through it tearing right through. This knocked it back and it would fall. Night raised both gun blades and started firing at it as it fell. It landed in a crumpled heap and would go to stand up as her Al'astor blades rained down on it. However it used blink and appeared right in front of Night aiming to take her head off. She ducked dodging the strike. She went to dash and slice through it but it used blink to dodge. It appeared a distance away and used the same dark branching barbed wire spell it had before. It's wounds sealed through Otherworld regeneration. Blood swirled around it as it prepped a spell and Night grinned. You will die this time. She said as her thirteen blades reassembled behind her.

Stats:

Night seemed to activate one of her abilities, she looked a bit creepy with all the glowing veins and other stuff. Night then summoned some of her magic weapons and the Keeper charged towards them, the fight had now started. Sakrol was unsure what to do but he had to help Night someway, but Sakrol remembers what happened last time with the Keeper so he had to do something what he usually avoids. Night seemed to be determined in killing the Keeper this time so he was ready to jump into the action as well. A little boost probably would be nice again just like last time, so Sakrol activated Cheer to help both of them a little. Sakrol also planned to use his True Form so he could even the odds a bit but he would wait for Night to finish her attack before he charged in. Sakrol would shout to Night to tell her what he is going to do after she is done. Night, I will use my True Form on this guy so when you're done I'll charge in for an attack okay?
